FTVS have supplied dry hire lighting* and equipment rental for television productions since 1977. We have a large inventory and are always expanding our product range. FTVS's TV lighting hire range includes moving lights, LEDs, daylight discharge, flood, space and softlights, profile and followspots, and fluorescents.

What is the difference between wet and dry hire lighting?
The terms of wet or dry lighting hire refers to the hiring out equipment. If you just need to hire lighting without any operator or assistance supplied, then this is known as "dry hire lighting". If you require equipment but also need lighting technicians on the set/location to work along with a Lighting Designer in installing the lights , controls and connections then this is known as Wet Hire.
To hire some of FTVS's equipment, such as mobile broadcast power generator hire, then an operator will be included - wet hire only. They will drive the vehicle incorporating generation unit to the location. The operator is a skilled technician who will also manage power distribution from the unit and oversee the generator during its rental period.
Dry Hire Delivery Service
FTVS offers a delivery service and will deliver the equipment to your premises or location when you dry hire. This includes delivery of lighting equipment, controls, power distribution, portable broadcast generators, cables, stands, grips, textiles, consumables and more. The delivery charge depends on the amount of equipment being delivered and the number of crew and vehicles needed.

Our main warehouse is based at 86-87 Bestobell Rd, Slough SL1 4SZ, which is only an hour from Central London. Here our huge inventory of lighting, controls, cables, power distribution, portable generators, grips, stands textiles and more are housed.
Many of our clients in London and the South East find our location very convenient.
Being slightly outside London, Slough is also close to Heathrow Airport, and other areas of Berkshire e.g. Staines and Uxbridge. Television producers and gaffers will find our location ideal. Slough benefits from being close to some of the country’s key roads and motorways. This includes the M4 corridor and the A4.
